Carney School bonds

Voters residing in the Carney School District overwhelmingly approved two bond propositions in a special election on Tuesday. With all five precincts reporting along with Absentee votes and early voting, Proposition 1 passed with 59 or 75.64 percent in favor and only 19 or 24.36 percent against it.

Snider to be inducted into cheer coaches hall of fame

Chandler cheer coach Cynthia Snider will be inducted into the Oklahoma Cheer Coaches Association on July 28, School Supt. Scott Baade told the school board during this week’s meeting. Snider has taught at Chandler for 23 years and coached cheer the entire time.

A Meeker man and a Newalla woman have been charged with conspiracy and the woman also has been charged with another felony. Tristan Nichole Fuller, 38, and Warren Christopher Rawls, 39, were charged in Lincoln County District Court with conspiracy.

Stroud Masonic Lodge presented the Stroud Food Pantry a check in the amount of $7,363.00. This amount represented $3,863.00 raised by a Raffle and Hot dog sale during the Stroud Alumni celebration held on May 27 and $3,500.00 in matching funds.
