Entering vaccine Phase 2

Oklahoma State Department of Health officials have announced they are beginning to transition to Phase 2 of the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines and individuals 65 and older are among those scheduled to receive it.

1. Update on T-SET (Tobacco Settlement) A. 12 signs were placed on Culver St. designating it as a bicycle pathway to and from our Elementary School. This should elevate our T-SET program to a Gold level. This will mean an additional $12,000 we will receive.

Construction for Meeker’s Quapaw 15 project has been moved back again, Meeker Town Administrator Dickie Walton said. The project is to raise the level of the Quapaw 15 Reservoir, commonly known as Meeke Lake, and eventually provide Meeker with its own source of water.

COVID continues climb

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has jumped again in both Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties in the last few days, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports. There have been four more deaths in Pottawatomie County in the last seven days.
