Happenings at Prairie Pointe

We have always been germ conscious at Prairie Pointe, and keeping our residents flu free the past four years was no accident. It helps that we are a pretty healthy bunch to begin with. A healthy diet and regular exercise as well as socialization helps keep a body and spirits in shape.

Town Talk

The Stroud Alumni officers are busy planning this year’s alumni activities scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. They are asking all interested alums to join them for their next meeting. It will be held this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the new high school.

House of Representatives read bills

In the House of Representatives we have a different kind of March madness. Much of February is dedicated to committee work – hearing hundreds of bills and determining which are suitable to pass to the next step of the legislative process.

Town Talk

Town Talk Bingo will be held on Thursday, March 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Center on Main Street. We are changing things up this time and hosting it in a new location. We will be using their lighted Bingo board so you shouldn’t miss out on a single number called.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

Happy Birthday wishes go to March babies Glenda Rains and Tillie Absher. Glenda’s son JR and wife Kay came up from Eufaula last Monday to surprise Glenda at lunch with a beautifully decorated cake which was served with ice cream.

Town Talk

Thanks to everyone who purchased donuts from Town Talk’s fundraiser. I have received numerous comments about the cute and tasty donuts. Please know that your support will go towards community improvement projects It was great to be able to “shop local” and help one of our Stroud businesses.
