Prague 34, Meeker 12

Prague moved to 2-0 on the season, beat arch-rival Meeker, 34-12, and inaugurated its new turf field with a win Friday night. The Red Devils led 7-0 at the half and 20-12 after three periods, but pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Dale school board meeting

Dale School principals updated Board of Education members recently on current school enrollment numbers. The board also voted approval of a plan using Esser III funds. Elementary Principal Tamee Daniel advised the board there are 335 students in grades Pre-K through fourth grade.

NRC outlasts Little Axe

North Rock Creek overcame two 30-minute lightning delays to take a triple-overtime 18-12 victory over Little Axe Thursday night. The Cougars got the winner in the third overtime when quarterback Caleb Harkins hit the end zone on a quarterback sweep.

High school softball

Meeker dominates

Meeker’s Riley Randall and Braxton Bussell took up where they left off last year, winning first and second at the Stroud cross country meet Saturday and leading the Meeker boys to an impressive win. The Bulldogs had three of the top four finishers and four of the top 10.
