Saturday night was a Blue Christmas in Stroud. Santa Claus made his way into town for the annual Christmas parade and there were plenty of Elvis sightings, including below with Bill Ash and Adam Chace.

Commissioners adopt sales tax resolution

Lincoln County commissioners this week adopted a resolution and election proclamation calling for renewal of the one cent county sales tax to be put on the Feb. 14, 2023 ballot. Commissioners, during their Nov. 21 meeting, voted 2-1 for the election and to change some of the ballot language.

Murder defendant pleads to five unrelated charges

A man awaiting a jury trial on a first degree murder complaint has pleaded guilty to five additional felonies in another case and drawn five prison terms to run concurrently with one another. Cole Berginer Guy, 19 at the time, and now 20, was formally charged Feb.
