The Chandler boys powerlifting team won the Bethel meet last Thursday and Kalee Peery set an unofficial state record in the squat. Peery squatted 270 pounds, which is five pounds more than the state record of 265 lbs for her weight class.

She was 92.

James Sartin was born to Alfred Buford and Julia Elizabeth (Landrum) Sartin on October 14, 1944, in Shawnee, Okla. He died Monday, February 14, 2022, at the age of 77 years. James was preceded in death by his parents, his son Brett Sartin and two sisters, Carmalita Sartin and Judy Milburn.
