Additional charges for Stroud man

A Stroud man who was wanted on a $15,000 bench warrant has appeared in Lincoln County District. But he also faces additional charges in a separate case. Nicholas James Worden, 42, of Stroud, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan.

Shouse promoted

Derrick Shouse has been promoted to Retail Banking Officer with Vision Bank. Derrick is a graduate of Meeker High School. He has worked at Vision Bank for 10 years. He and his wife Marisa have a daughter Mikaylie.

Child abuse charges filed

Bench warrants were recently issued for the arrest for a couple for allegedly abusing an eight-year-old child. A charge of child abuse was formally filed in Lincoln County District Court Feb. 8 against Aaron Curtis Richardson, 29, of Tryon.

Dietz second at state meet

Landon Dietz from Chandler, who is pictured at right in the silver position on the awards stand, came in second at the junior high state tournament. A fifth-grader, he wrestled at 72 pounds in the 6th-7th division.

Woman dies in crash

A McLoud woman died Monday night in a single vehicle collision north of Stroud in Lincoln County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jacob Hunn identified the woman killed in the collision as Autumn Johnson, 33.

LC Republicans to meet

Members of the Lincoln County Republican Party will meet 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 21, at the Rt. 66 Bowl, 920 E. First Street in Chandler. Come early if you want to order food. The schedule of upcoming speakers will be discussed.
