A Harrah man faces eight felonies, several of which are related to pornography and child abuse material involving juveniles.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on Oct. 28, 2025 against Jerod Arthur Deatherage, 37.

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved their meeting schedule for 2026 and the 2026 holiday schedule as well.Following a lengthy discussion, they approved the purchase of a Cushman golf cart for the safety director.

Davenport turned the ball over four times in the first half and dropped a district contest 52-24 to Covington-Douglas.It sets up a must win game for the Bulldogs Thursday night at home against Coyle. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m., Coach Grant Powell says, with senior festivities starting at 6:30 p.m.

Chandler finally got to play four quarters of football Friday night, beating Sperry, 39-12, in a district game and clinching a playoff spot.It was a change of script from the Lions’ last three games, but a familiar plot.

Tigers clinch district

The Stroud Tigers plowed through Hennessey, 52-3, on Senior Night Friday and racked up their fourth consecutive district championship.The Tigers clinched the District 2A-II1 title, even though they still have a game left at Luther Friday night.

Stroud hero honored

Peyton Hogan, a freshman at Stroud High School, was honored at Friday night’s football game for rescuing a man from a burning car earlier in the fall. He was given an award for his bravery during halftime, handed to him by Christopher Miller, the man he rescued.

Several events are going on next Tuesday for Veterans Days.In Chandler, there will be a breakfast for veterans at the United Methodist Church at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade through downtown at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., a special program will be held at the Chandler High School Performing Arts Center.
