Dale M. Broudrick, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. He was born on April 15, 1949, in Shawnee to Melvin and Vera James Broudrick.Dale grew up in Meeker and was a proud 1967 graduate of Meeker High School.

Construction began in July 2025, after a bond was passed in April 2024. The building will contain 22 classrooms, a Family and Consumer Sciences classroom and kitchen, science lab, an art studio, two teacher workrooms, special education space, a new library and alternative education space. Prague is set to get a brand new high school.Construction began on the new over 40,000-square-foot facility in July 2025, according to Superintendent Kimberly Fleak, and should be completed in about two and a half years.

Chandler’s Lady Lions won the first two games of the state tournament in their last at-bat, but their comeback against Washington fell short in Saturday’s finals.Number 1-seeded Washington ended up with its 10th fastpitch state championship, beating the secondranked Lady Lions, 9-3.

Chandler dominated a district opponent for the second straight week, drubbing the Westville Yellowjackets, 54-6, Thursday It was the second blowout in a row, following a 52-6 win over Tulsa Webster a week ago, and it left the Lions in a four-way tie for third place in District 2A-1-4.
