Two from Stroud charged in felonies

Two people from Stroud have each been charged with drug and contraband felonies following their arrest in June by law enforcement officers.

Preliminary hearings have been scheduled for a woman from Meeker and a Shawnee man, each charged with three felonies, among them child abuse and child neglect. One of the counts against the Meeker woman is for intimidation of witness.Their preliminary hearings are set for Aug. 22.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a man charged with four counts of sex related acts with a minor.Formal charges were filed July 26, 2023 in Lincoln County District Court against Bradley Jacobs, 20, address unknown.A $20,000 bench warrant was initially issued and later returned and filed.

Trial set for Carney man

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Carney man charged with felony child abuse earlier this year.Austin McDougal, 22, was charged in Lincoln County District Court Feb. 26 with one count of child abuse. He made his initial appearance on Feb. 29 before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk.

A Prague couple facing child neglect and drug charges after they had brought their child into the hospital and reportedly were intoxicated have entered pleas of not guilty.Charged with felony child neglect are Devon C. Rodriguez, 32 and Camille Breean Akins, 30.
