Meeker trustees approve payments

Meeker’s Town Board of Trustees, during a recently held special meeting, approved several payments related to an Oklahoma Water Resource Board loan and grants. Meeker Town Clerk and Treasurer Mary Conner said the board met as the Meeker Public Works Authority in approving the various payments.

Hearing set for paircharged with trafficking

Pre-preliminary hearings have been scheduled for a man from Carney and a woman from Chandler who face two felonies each after their arrest by Lincoln County deputies. James Michael Boyd, 38, whose address was listed as in Carney and Alexandria Deanne Gordon, of Chandler, were each charged Jan.

Wellston man faces two additional felonies

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Wellston man who originally faced four charges last July then was charged with two new felonies in December. Larry Don Seebeck, 57, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Dec.

Turnpike driver charged with drug trafficking

A motorist who was exiting the Turner Turnpike recently was arrested and charged after he was stopped by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper. Gregory Johnson, 23, with no address listed, was formally charged Jan. 27 in Lincoln County District Court with trafficking in illegal drugs.

The University of Central Oklahoma recently announced the students named to the university’s honor rolls, a distinction given to those who achieve the highest academic standards.

Early voting on March 30 and 31

Early voting begins Thursday March 30th for voters in Lincoln County. Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day, have the option of voting early at their County Election Board.

Davenport Chamber Banquet March 20

Charges filed in shooting near Wellston

A Midwest City man, who already has been convicted of at least 18 felonies, faces three more following a Lincoln County shooting near Wellston last month that injured a person. Casey Mac Wilson, 42, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Feb.

Hearings set on charges of running roadblocks

A pre-preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a driver facing two felonies for running a pair of roadblocks. Joshua Wade Pleasant, 34, Shawnee, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Aug. 1 with two felony counts of running a roadblock.
