Felony charges for Carney woman in chase

A Carney woman faces six charges following a reported high speed chase through parts of Lincoln County last month. Two felonies and four misdemeanors were filed in Lincoln County District Court on March 2 against Brandy Renee Tagg, 38.

Pott County Livestock Show

Bench warrant in firearm case

A $15,000 bench warrant has been issued for an Oklahoma City man who allegedly pointed a firearm at a woman in Lincoln County last December.

Academic team heads to state

Chandler Junior High Academic was runnerup in the Area 3 Tournament in Kiefer on March 3 and will compete in the state competition, Challenge of the Champions, on May 15.

Warrant, charges in high-speed chase

A Seminole man faces nine charges following a high speed pursuit in Lincoln County in early January. Gustus Lane Hinton, 24, was formally charged March 2 in Lincoln County District Court with four felonies and five misdemeanors. A $20,000 bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Seminole State College

Sydney Winchester of Prague was among 27 Seminole State College students who were inducted into the Alpha Theta Nu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges on March 9. Students are selected based on their scholarship, leadership and commitment to community.
