On Saturday, May 2, the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence hosted its 40th annual Academic Awards Celebration at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. Dale High School senior Paul Potts, right, was honored as a member of the 2026 Academic All-State class. Stroud teen Payton Hogan was recognized at the Oklahoma Senate on May 5 for his bravery in helping save a man in September 2025. That day, Hogan heard a loud crash and ran outside to find a wrecked vehicle. He immediately jumped in to help pull the driver from the car before it was engulfed in flames. Photo/Oklahoma Senate
