Dear Editor, Oklahomans are being ripped off by the Insurance Industry when it comes to Homeowners Insurance. It’s time to quit being silent about this travesty and speak up about the inequality being perpetrated on our residents. Research shows that Oklahoma has the highest rates in the nation when it comes to home insurance. The insurance companies claim that it’s because we are in “Tornado Alley” and have high winds and hail. That argument may have been true years ago, but folks haven’t you noticed the weather patterns have changed a lot since that time. That argument is no longer valid anymore.

A Harrah man has waived his preliminary hearing on a manslaughter charge or in the alternative negligent homicide after his four-yearold son reportedly jumped from his pickup truck and was run over by the vehicle.

Seldom do I have accompany my wife Pat when she goes to buy groceries. Two or three months back though, I decided to go with her so I could help, primarily to push the cart and assist her once the groceries were paid for and bagged.

Abuse of children, animals

It irks me to no end when I hear of and see reports of a child and children who have been abused. The same is true with the abuse of animals whether it be a household pet or a farm animal.
