The Kendrick Cemetery Association is holding their annual meeting this Sunday, February 15th at 2:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Kendrick Town Hall. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.The Oklahoma Humanities Book Club is returning to the Stroud Library.

Congratulations to Charles Palmer and Cody Paige and their families on the grand re-opening of Stroud’s historic landmark, Skyliner Motel. Sunday was an exciting day for our community as we celebrated their accomplishment. The Skyliner was built and owned by Jack and Lorene Tarter.

With the weather prognosticators predicting a fairly powerful storm this week for Oklahoma and much of the nation, I figured it might be wise to prepare a little.Around 8 on Monday morning one of the apps on my cell phone alerted me about a winter storm watch for our area beginning around 9 a.m.

Congratulations to the Rock Café on being chosen by the Route 66 Centennial Commission to be featured on one of the Centennial billboards on Turner Turnpike. The billboard reads “100 Years of Neon” and the one located by Stroud features the Rock’s neon sign and it lights up.
