Letter to the editor

To The Editor, I have a confession. I am an addict. My ability to build and to destroy has been equal. As I work to figure out what it is that makes up this part of me the only thing that matters to me is what’s next. It’s silly for me to deny that addiction has been a driving force in my life.

My wife Pat and I attended a memorial service this past weekend for a friend we’d known for around 30 years. It was a very nice service that honored his life. He was a military veteran and the setting couldn’t have been better on a beautiful Saturday morning overlooking the lake.

Letters to the editor

A Letter from a Meeker Citizen, Early in the week, when I heard of the firing of Meeker’s Town Administrator, Dickie Walton, I imagined all kinds of misdeeds on his part. As I learned from The Lincoln County News today, there were no charges of any kind leveled against Walton.

Letters to the editor

Dear Editor: This letter is just to make a few comments about the recent firing of the Meeker City Manager by the town board on August 25th as reported in the newspaper on September 2. First I would like to commend Dickie Walton for his nearly four years of public service to the town of Meeker.

Purplehulls

It was back in the spring when Kindra mentioned she had never eaten purplehull peas. So one Saturday several weeks ago, we bought some seeds and planted them in some of our plastic tubs that formerly held potatoes.
