CVEC to participate in grant program

Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) has partnered with CoBank’s Sharing Program to provide financial assistance to up to three non-profits in their service area, according to a press release.

Child sex case goes to trial

A man from Harrah has been bound over to stand trial on three child-related sex crimes and his arraignment has been set.He was bound over on three counts of lewd acts with a child under 16. His arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 19, 2025.

Lincoln Co. commissioners open bids for roof project

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved raises for 911 Co-supervisors, entered into a joint discussion with the 911 Trust Authority Board and opened bids for the Lincoln County Fair Barn reroof.They also appointed the seventh member to the 522 Ambulance District Board.

Barrett re-elected chairman of Citizen Potawatomis

During Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s annual Family Reunion Festival, Tribal members voted to re-elect John “Rocky” Barrett to the position of Chairman.Voting results were announced Saturday, June 28, at CPN’s General Council, where it was announced Barrett received 1,508 votes.

We kept the grandson part of this past weekend and when Pat and I and little Liam were riding around on Sunday we drove by several fireworks stands.It’s hard not to drive by one as many as there are around and they’ve been selling fireworks for at l e a s t a couple of weeks already.
