Hearing continued in discharge of a firearm

A pre-preliminary hearing has been continued once more for a Luther man charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors after allegedly discharging a firearm in a case investigated by Lincoln County deputies and other officers.

Agra man faces charges on sex crimes

A $100,000 bond has been set for an Agra man after he was arrested on three felonies alleging sex crimes with minors. Kenneth Taylor Simpson, 21, was formally charged on Oct. 24 in Lincoln County District Court with lewd acts to a child under 16, sodomy of a child under 16 and second degree rape.

Chandler’s defense scored its second straight shutout and the offense got all the points it needed in a 30-second stretch in the second quarter Thursday night at Luther. The result was a 20-0 win that gave Chandler a home-field berth in the first round of the playoffs.

Stroud made short work of the Savanna Bulldogs, cruising to a 48-0 halftime lead Thursday and winning 60-6 in their final regular season game. The Tigers had already clinched first place in their district, but made it a perfect 7-0 in league play.
