Meeker announces valedictorians, salutatorians

Meeker High School has announced its valedictorians and salutatorians for the graduating Class of 2026. Kara Casteel, Aiden Hessman, Brooklyn Lynch, Mariah Doulett and Kylie Way have been named valedictorian, while Gage Danielewicz and Keagon Edmonds have been named salutatorians.

Kara Casteel, Valedictorian

Kara Casteel is the daughter of Rodney and Tiffany Casteel. She has attended Meeker Public Schools for four years.

Kara has a 4.0 GPA and has received the Outstanding Student English II Award. She’s an academic letterman jacket recipient, and made basketball Academic All-Conference, the University of Oklahoma Presidential Leadership Class and Oklahoma Honor Society

Her clubs and organizations include Student Council, Meeker Chickfil- ALeadershipAcademy, Leadership, Indian Club, Vision Bank Board and National Honor Society.

Kara’s community involvement includes volunteering at the OKC Marathon and visiting the nursing home often.

After graduation, Kara plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and pursue a degree in Secondary English Education.

Aiden Hessman, Valedictorian

Aiden Hessman is the son of Jason and Jenifer Hessman. He has attended Meeker Public Schools for 14 years.

He has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society. He’s also a member of National Honor Society, has an academic letterjacket, is a distinguished graduate, and made All-Conference and Route 66 All-Conference for basketball.

Aiden’s clubs and organizations include basketball, golf, yearbook, Student Council and Vision Bank Board.

He has taken part in a mentorship program at the elementary school.

After graduation, Aiden plans to go to college and get a degree while playing basketball.

Brooklyn Lynch, Valedictorian

Brooklyn Lynch is the daughter of Matt and Sarah Lynch. She has attended Meeker Public Schools for 11 years.

She has a 4.0 GPA and received the Distinguished Graduate award. She is also a pom state champion in 1A/2A hip-hop and received an academic letter jacket.

Brooklyn’s organziations and clubs include National Honor Society, Student Council, Leadership and cheer.

Her community involvement includes being a Sunday School leader at Immanuel Baptist Church.

After graduation, Brooklyn plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in marketing.

Mariah Michelle Mc-Doulett, Valedictorian Mariah Michelle Mc-Doulett is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Mc-Doulett. She has attended Meeker Public Schools since pre-K.

Mariah has a 4.0 GPA and is in Oklahoma Honor Society. She’s also made theSuperintendent’sHonor Roll, Outstanding English I Student, OutstandingAlgebra II Student, Outstanding Honors Biology Student, Outstanding Advanced Placement Lang Student, Outstanding Economics Student, Outstanding Pre Calculus Student, Outstanding Physical Science Student and Outstanding U.S. History Student.

Her clubs and organizations include National Honor Society, Student Council, BancFirst Bank Board and Fish Club.

Mariah is a member of Trinity Baptist Church’s youth group and a children’s Bible teacher, has served in the nursery and has been a greeter. She’s also hosted monthly church services at the Meeker Nursing Home and given Easter gifts to residents with the National Honor Society. She’s also hosted literacy improvment events at the elementary school.

After graduation, Mariah plans to follow God wherever He leads.

Kylie Way, Valedictorian

KylieWayisthedaughter of Melissa and Thomas Way. She has attended Meeker Public Schools since pre-K.

Kylie has a 4.0 GPA and has been a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society for three years. She’s also been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll (three years), won Rose State College’s Golden Apple Essay Contest, is the author of the David Boren Mentoring Initiative Grant that was awarded in 2025 and won Outstanding Student Awards for Earth Science, Oklahoma History, Music Appreciation (2023), Accounting I, American History (2024); Leadership, Performing Arts Theatre and History (2025).

Her clubs and organizations include National Honor Society (president), Student Council (vice president, parliamentarian and representative), Chickfil- A Leader Academy, ClimateCommittee,Health and Safety Committee, YearbookTeam,Academic Club and Fish Club.

Kylie’s community involvement includes the First Baptist Church Kids Ministry Team, the elementary school tutoring program, the Feed the Children Warehouse, Lincoln County Partnership for Child Well Being, Meeker Growth and Development, Lincoln County Foster FamilyFunDayandtheDo Good December Project.

After graduation, Kylie plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education with the goal of becoming a teacher and making a positive impact.

Gage Danielewicz, Salutatorian

Gage Danielewicz is the son of Anna and Shawn Danielewicz and has attended Meeker Public Schools since his freshman year.

He has a 4.0 GPA and received the Perfect Attendence Certificate of Honor in 2023 and Perfect Attendence in 2024 and 2025 at Gordon Cooper Technology Center. Gage is a member of the National Honor Society and Technical National Honor Society. For Robotics Club, Gage has won first place at the FRC Oklahoma Regional, first place at FRC Green Country, the FRC Green CountryImpactaward(two times) and the First Robotics Worlds Competition Creativity Award.

Gage’s clubs and organizations include Gordon CooperTechnologyCenter, Robotics and FIRST.

His community involvement includes being a referee with the Kids LEGO League 2023 and a judge in 2024. Gage also participated in Gordon Cooper’s STEM Day, the eighth grade tour of the center, the basketball ticket raffle and the high school Halloween event.

After graduation, Gage plans to attend Rose State College to study cybersecurity andfindemployment while he’s there that best coincides with his career path.

Keagan Edmonds, Salutatorian

Keagan Edmonds is the son of Neesha Romano, Kyle Moore and Josiah Romano. He has attended Meeker Public Schools since pre-K.

Keagan has a 3.9 GPA. He mad the All District Team 1 and All District Academic Award in football. He’s also received the Spanish I and II Star Student Award, Oklahoma History Star Student Award, PerfectAttendance Award, Algebra 1 Start Student Award, Geometry Star Student Award, Art Humanities Star Student Award and the Horticulture Star Student Award.

His clubs and organizations include National Honor Society and Student Council.

Aftergraduation,Keagan plans to find a college home and become a registered nurse.
