Sheriff’s office responds to death in Sparks

A body was found at a residence near Sparks on April 15, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO reported on Wednesday that they got a call around 7:18 a.m. from a man who said that his brother was dead and his mother wouldn’t wake up. He also said he had stabbed his brother, but he didn’t need to go to the hospital.

A deputy responded to the residence and found the mother alive and well, and one body. The sheriff’s office took the suspect into custody. Lincoln County Sheriff Kevin Garrett said the investigation is ongoing and they are working with the Oklahoma State Investigation Bureau (OSBI).

“The main thing I want everybody to know is that we don’t have a suspect up at large,” he said.
