Charlotte Ann Banks

Charlotte Ann Banks, age 82, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1942, in Oklahoma City to the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmore. 

Charlotte was a vibrant and feisty woman, known for her strong spirit and sense of humor. She had a passion for traveling and enjoyed exploring new places. A skilled seamstress, Charlotte was always crafting beautiful creations with her sewing skills. She was also an active member of the Miata Car Club, where she shared her love for adventure with fellow enthusiasts. 

Music was another joy in Charlotte’s life, and she was an ardent fan of Elvis Presley and Tom Jones. She could often be found listening to their songs, relishing in the nostalgia they brought. Above all, Charlotte had an immense love for her puppy, Sam, and she was a devoted and loving grandmother. 

Charlotte retired from the City of Del City in 2007, where she worked as a city clerk and left behind a lasting legacy of dedication and hard work. Her family will remember her for her warm, loving nature and for being a truly wonderful grandmother. 

She is survived by her three children, Christie Gilmore and husband Mike, Alan Banks and wife Christeen, Craig Banks and wife Katrina; her grandchildren, Lisa Banks, Austin Koster, Stacie Heath, Denny Banks, Lacy Baldridge, Haylee Banks, Kasi Reed, Alyssa Jackson, Nichole Banks; and 15 greatgrandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. 

Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Elmore, and her parents. 

Charlotte’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her feisty spirit, loving kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 21, 2025, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, 120 South Broadway, Moore, OK.
