Regional powerlifting meet

Pictured above is Chandler’s Class 2A high school regional champion powerlifiting team, which hosted and won the regional meet last week. At left, is Georgia Hulsey, who won the junior high state championship in the 108-pound weight class. Hulsey had 215 pounds in the squat, 95 pounds in the bench and 225 pounds in the deadlift, for a total of 535 pounds, 20 pounds better than the second-place finisher. The girls state powerlifting meet was last week in Durant. The boys state meet is this coming weekend in El Reno.
