Last ball for a while

Stroud and Prague went to Meeker Thursday for a three-way that will be the last baseball we see for a while.

Meeker nipped Prague 5-3 in the first game behind the two-hit pitching of starter Jacob Sellers and reliever Jacob Martin, who got the final three outs.

Stroud won the day’s final two games, beating Prague and Meeker by 2-1 scores. Bryce Hughey, Seth Cline and Blake Parrick combined to allow just six hits over 10 innings, permitting three per game.

On Monday, the state board of education voted to close school and related activities for at least the next three weeks.
