Town Talk has brought a new business to Stroud inside an existing business, Unique OK. The new business is called Unique Market Ice Cream Shoppe. Andrea Flatt Thompson, Class of 1988, runs the ice cream portion of the store.

Independence Day has an added meaning at Prairie Pointe now. Three-year resident Alton McCune spent a late evening on the 4th watching fireworks and visiting with his daughter Anita Reynolds and his soon to be son-in-law Phil Wright.

Residents at Prairie Pointe made a special effort to vote via absentee ballot so I sure hope those of you who could get out and felt comfortable doing so, made it to the polls. Five of the many reasons you should vote are: 1) Elections have consequences. 2) Not voting is giving up your voice.

If you’re taking your dog for a walk stop by True Value or Stroud Cleaners and let your dog “Pause and Refresh.” Town Talk has sponsored two dog watering stations for visitors and locals who enjoy strolling down Main Street with man’s best friend.
