After a summer hiatus, Town Talk is back. Thanks to all of you who told me you missed reading it. A big shout out to two of my readers in Wellston, Tom and Terry Mullendore, who called just to see if I was alive. They were concerned because they had not seen my column in the paper for a few months.

My decision was driven by the results from an online longevity calculator and input from a tiny angel on my right shoulder.I entered my height, weight, age and drinking habits into the calculator. And that I had smoked during a mis-spent few years in my youth, but quit half a century ago.
