Veterans Day is coming up next Monday, Nov. 11. The nation will honor all the brave men and women who have been, and those who still are, willing to serve their country.

Ex-sub found guilty

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer A Lincoln County jury has found a former Wellston substitute teacher guilty on two counts and not guilty on three and fixed punishment at three years on each of the guilty counts.

Prague man waives hearing

A Prague man has waived his preliminary hearing on a charge of felony assault and battery charge following a reported altercation with his girl friend.Trevor Wade Mills, 23, was formally charged in Lincoln County District July 10 this year with domestic assault and battery by strangulation.

Chandler woman’s hearing rescheduled

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Chandler woman facing a felony and two misdemeanors. A Chandler man facing the same charges pleaded innocent recently.Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on March 15 this year against Herbert Lee Gaines, Jr.
