Chandler Soccer Club’s U10 team, the Shooting Stars, went undefeated in the regular season and won the U10 championship at the Tulsa World Cup in Broken Arrow last weekend.

Meeker thumps Prague, wins trophy

Friday was a big night for the Meeker Bulldogs. They beat ancient rival Prague for the second year in a row, clinched a home game for the first round of the playoffs and got to take home the newly minted trophy that will go each year to the winner of the Meeker-Prague game.

Stroud dominated Allen, 50-0, Friday, to win the District A-7 championship and move within a Senior Night win of finishing an unbeaten regular season. Now 9-0, the Tigers host Mounds Friday night in the final regular-season home game for this year’s seniors.

Big win for Wellston over Hollis

Alec Hagar ran for 301 yards and accounted for four touchdowns to spark Wellston to a 44-36 comeback win over Hollis Friday. Hollis came into the game with a 5-1 record, but Wellston led through much of the game. “Hollis came in with a good record and a good team,” said Hollis coach James Jones.

The game had the trappings of a showdown, but Davenport made short work of it, whipping up on Prue, 52-6, and taking sole possession of first place in District B-7.

Stroud pounds Konawa, goes to 8-0

Stroud extended its perfect record to 8-0 with a 58-14 thumping of Konawa on a night that was wet and cold. A cold rain fell for much of the game, but it didn’t deter the Tigers, who jumped out to a 42-0 lead at the half.
