November Rotarians announced

Ava White and Riley Schafer were named the November Rotarians of the Month by the Chandler Rotary Club.Ava White is the daughter of Matthew and Shannon Dougherty and Travis and Sarah White.She has lived in Chandler all her life and has attended Chandler Public Schools throughout her education.

Driver rescued from manhole on turnpike

The Chandler and Wellson Fire Departments responded to Turner Turnpike to help rescue a motorist on Friday night.A press release from Wellston Fire Chief Todd Beesley said a motorist exited his vehicle at mile marker 160 westbound and fell about 30 to 40 feet into a drainage area.

Sparks scholarships

Three Chandler seniors received scholarships from Sparks America. Landon Harkins, Lexi Martzall and Hannah Campbell were each awarded a $6,000 scholarship “We were proud of these youngsters as they take their passions and dreams and move forward with their lives,” Sparks America said.
