A judgment in excess of $11 million has been awarded to the estate of a teenage girl who died at the age of 14.
Court records show that a wrongful death lawsuit was filed on Sept. 2, 2022, in Lincoln County District Court by Heather Michelle William, special administrator for the Estate of Alaunna Raffield against Cody Baker.
According to court records, a judgment of $11,688,485.30 was awarded on Sep. 12 to the Estate of Alaunna Raffield. District Judge John Canavan signed the judgment against Baker in that amount.
On Sep. 12, the plaintiff’s motion for default judgment was granted, court records show.
A court official confirmed that Baker did appear in court for his case on Sep. 12.
