Jerry Lee Cochran

Jerry Lee Cochran, 70, of Jones, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 31, 2025, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born on June 4, 1954, in Stroud, Oklahoma, he was the beloved son of LeviandEthelCochran.

Jerry dedicated his life to hard work and service through a diverse career that included roles at Demco, TinkerAir Force Base, The City of Midwest City, Chandler Bakery and Kimray. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every position he held. Outside of his professional life, Jerry found joy in tending to his yard, tinkering in his garage and cheering on his favorite sports team.Adevoted Oklahoma City Thunder fan, he rarely missed a game. He also took great pride in watching his grandchildren excel in their own athletic endeavors.

Family was the cornerstone of Jerry’s life. He shared a loving marriage with his wife of 49 years, Mary Jane Cochran, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons. Together, they raised a family that brought him endless pride and happiness. He is survived by his wife, “Janie”; their three children, Stacy Goad (James), Kerrie Cochran and Dustin Cochran (Rindi); as well as his cherished grandchildren, Kaidynce, Claire, Madalyne, Blayklee and Hunter; and his fearless four-legged companion, Georgie. Jerry also leaves behind his brother, Gary Cochran of Sparks, Oklahoma, and sister, Patty Smith of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Ethel, and brothers, Larry and Tommy.

Jerry Lee Cochran will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his legacy of love for family and community continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
