Glen Harvey Wayland

Lifelong Chandler resident, Glen Harvey Wayland, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Oklahoma City at the age of 82.

Glen was born in Chandler on October 18, 1942, to Garland and Lela (Porter) Wayland.

Glen enlisted in the U.S.Army and later served full-time with theArmy National Guard beginning in 1985. His career took him to the Oklahoma Military Department in Oklahoma City, Charlie Battery in El Reno, Bravo Battery in Seminole, and Headquarters in Chandler. He retired in 2002 as a proud Supply Sergeant, honored to have served his country.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his devoted wife, a daughter and her husband, a son and his wife, 11 grandchildren and spouses and four great-grandchildren, with another on the way. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

Afuneral was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday,August 23, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Chandle,r followed by interment at the Parkland Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
