Local students win OSU scholarships

Four Lincoln County students are the recipients of scholarships from Oklahoma State University’s Ferguson College of Agriculture for the 2026-27 academic year, a press release from the university said.

Ryan Dehart from Carney received the Joseph Fleming Memorial Continuing Scholarship. DeHart is majoring in Entomology. Josie Murray from Wellston received the E. Pauline Osborne Agriculture Scholarship and is majoring in Animal Science.

Brynna Raines from Meeker received the Mable and Houston Ward, Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship and is majoring in Food Science. Ethan Stone from Chandler received theAdvance Food Company Endowed Scholarship and is majoring in biosystem engineering.

They were awarded at the 2026 Scholarship andAwards banquet hosted by the college on March 26.

“Our students continuously showcase academic and professional success through their endeavors in the Ferguson College,” said Cynda Clary, associate dean of academic programs. “These scholarships, made possible because of the generosity of our alumni and friends, are a testament to our students’ success, and it is a privilege to recognize them.”

More than $1.8 million was awarded to students through scholarships at the Ferguson College, the press release said.
