McLoud announces valedictorians, salutatorian

McLoud High School has announced the valedictorians and salutatorian of the Class of 2026. Addison Adams, Dawsen Branum, Jordyn Dennis, Dani Easley, Kaleb Fox, Lillian Lee, Taycee Lewis, Lydia Reece and Launa Troutt are the valedictorians, while Jonathan Yang is the salutatorian.

Addison Adams, Valedictorian

Addison Adams is the daughter of Brandon and Brianne Adams. She has attended McLoud Public Schools for 14 years.

Addison has a 4.13 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is part of the SSM Health Junior Volunteer Program, is a certified nursing assistant, and was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at Gordon Cooper. She has lettered as a baseball and football manager. As a member of the track team, Addison won Track Newcomer of the Year in 2023, 4A Girls Top 5 Regional Placer in Pole Vault in 2024, Track Redskin Legacy Winner in 2024, 4A Girls Top 10 Regional Placer in Pole Vault in 2025 and placed second in the Heptathlon at 4A Girls Conference. In wrestling, she was a 5A Girls State qualifier in 2024, 2025, and 2026; a 5A GirlsWestRegionalChampion and State Runner-up in 2025; a 5A Girls West Regional Placed in 2026; and a member of the 5A Girls State Championship Teamin2025and2026.She was Blackberry Princess in 2022, Blackberry Queen in 2024 and Miss Blackberry Covergirl in 2024.Addison placed in the top 10 at the Miss Oklahoma Teen USA pageant in 2025, was Football Homecoming Queen in 2025-26, won Female Athlete of the Year in 2025 and received the Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket in 2025.

Her clubs and organizations include Gifted and Talented, Link Crew Commissioner, Senior Class Vice President, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Honor Roll and Valedictorian.

Addison has been involved at Highland Church of Christ as a Sunday School teacher and the Blackberry Festival by helping with parades, the Chamber booth, ceremonies, mentoring contestants in the pageant, Blackberry Jamsales,adbooksalesand Chamber meetings. She’s also been involved in the Fall Festival, selling jam fromBancFirst,appearedat various events and ribboncuttings as Blackberry Queen and helped with Vacation Bible School in Huron, South Dakota.

After graduation, Addison plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Dawsen Branum, Valedictorian

Dawsen Branum is the daughter of Robin and Randy Branum. She has attended McLoud Public Schools since fourth grade.

Dawsen has a 4.35 GPA and received the Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket. She’s on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, is receiving an Honors Diploma, made the Senior All-StarTeam and is a fourtime State Qualifier in cross country. She qualified for State in 2023 in the 3200m in track and field.

Her clubs and organizations include the National Honor Society (vice president), Key Club (president), Gifted and Talented, Link Crew, Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, prom committee and concurrent enrollment at MACU.

Dawsen frequently takes part in community service activities as the McLoud Key Club president and regularly attends Choctaw Road Baptist Church.

After graduat ion, Dawsen plans to attend Mid-America Christian University as a studentathlete studying Biology and running cross country and track and field.

Jordyn Dennis, Valedictorian

Jordyn Dennis is the daughter of Shelly Dennis and Richard Dennis. She has attended McLoud Public Schools for 13 years.

Jordyn has a 4.18 GPA and was Track MVP. She’s alsobeenabasketballNorth Canadian River Honorable Mention,TrackNewcomer of the Year, a Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket recipient, a four-year honor roll student, Student of the Month and is in the Top 10.

Her clubs and organizations include senior class reporter, National Honor Society, Link Crew, Gifted and Talented, basketball, soccer, drama, Seminole State Focus Group and Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy.

Jordyn has volunteered at a local nursing home, helped set up the Blackberry Festival, ECC hangout days and helped with children’s basketball camps.

After graduation, Jordyn plans to become a licensed cosmetologist by attending Paul Mitchell Beauty School.

Dani Easley, Valedictorian

Dani Easley is the daughter of Crystal and Rowdy Easley. She has attended McLoud Public Schools since pre-K.

Dani has a 4.2 GPA and received a Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket. She has been Student of the Month every year, been on theSuperintendent’sHonor Roll and received many scholarships.

Her clubs and organizations include Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society and Gifted and Talented.

She has been involved with the Veterans Day Assembly, elementary book fair, elementary Water Days and the college fair.

After graduation, Dani plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to pursue a degree in nursing and then work in the women’s health field. She wants to help families grow even through the struggles of infertility.

Kaleb Fox, Valedictorian

Kaleb Fox is the son of Matt and Vicki Fox. He has attended McLoud Public Schools for 14 years.

He has a 4.0 GPA and has received a Janice Stotts AcademicLetterJacket.He has also been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Student of the Month.

Kaleb’s clubs and organizations include the National Honor Society, baseball and Gifted and Talented.

He has helped with the elementary book fair and baseball camp.

After graduation, Kaleb plans to attend Rose State College to pursue a career in mechanical engineering.

Lillian Lee, Valedictorian

Lillian Lee is the daughter of Gary Lee and Sarah Lee. She has attended McLoud Public Schools since her sophomore year.

Lillian has a 4.38 GPA and was the Tennis Texas Christian Athletic League State Champion in 2023. She has received the Vex Robotics Judges Award from 2022-2023, AP U.S. History Award, U.S. History Award, the Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket, been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, and is receiving an Honors diploma.

Her clubs and organizations include president of theNationalHonorSociety, Link Crew, Gifted and Talented and Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy.

Lillian has been a student intern at the McLoud City Hall.

After graduation, Lillian plans to attend Oklahoma State University to pursue a degree in industrial engineering and management.

Taycee Lewis, Valedictorian

Taycee Lewis is the daughter of Christeena and Tearon Lewis. She has attended McLoud Public Schools since pre-K.

She has a 4.22 GPA and received the Janice Stotts Academic Letter Jacket. She has been a North Canadian River Valley Conference Honorable Mention (basketball), Athlete of the Month (November), District 4A-5A Honorable Mention (fast pitch), 66 All-conference Honorable Mention (fast pitch) and Student of the Month (October).

Taycee’s clubs and organizations include basketball, fast and slowpitch softball, National Honor Society and Gifted and Talented.

ShehastakenpartinRedskin ReadingwithMcLoud Elementary School, made crafts for the nursing home, helped with the Blackberry Festival, helped with the basketball little kid camp and helped with the softball little kid camp.

After graduation,Taycee plans to attend college and become a sonographer.

Lydia Reece, Valedictorian LydiaReeceisthedaughter of Misty Richardson and Lance Reece. She has attended McLoud Public Schools since first grade.

Lydiahasa4.14GPAand is in the top 10 percent of her class. She also has an academic letter jacket.

Her clubs and organizations include the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club and yearbook.

She has been involved in Career Day (NHS volunteering), wrestling trash pick-up around McLoud, the wrestling car wash, kids’book fair at Christmas and Halloween (NHS), helping serve lunch at church and with a Halloween party for little kids (yearbook).

After graduation, Lydia plans to go into aviation flight training.

Launa Troutt, Valedictorian Launa Troutt is the daughter of Brandon and Shawna Troutt and has attended McLoud Public Schools since pre-K.

She has a 4.23 GPA and has an honors diploma. In wrestling, she is a four-time state qualifier, a three-time state placer, 2024 Team Oklahoma Member, 2025 StateChampion,2026State Runner Up, 2026 All State Member and has over 100 varsity wins. She is also on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and received an academic letter jacket for being in the top 10 percent of her class.

Launa’s clubs and organizations include wrestling (Team Captain), Key Club, National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (Group Leader), FOCUS, BancFirst Student Board and a student intern (assistant wrestling coach for McLoud Junior High and observer at the Athletico PhysicalTherapy Clinic in Harrah).

She has volunteered as a Little League wrestling coach, at events through Key Club and attends church at Choctaw Road Baptist Church.

After graduation, Launa plans to attend Carl Albert State College on a wrestling scholarship and as a Scholar’s Program recipient. She will major in Allied Sciences and plans to obtain her bachelor’s degree.

Jonathan Yang, Salutatorian

Jonathan Yang is the son of Mary Cha-Yang and JoeyYang. He has attended McLoud Public Schools since his junior year.

Yang has a 3.96 GPA. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and pursue a career in engineering.
