Chandler School Board hires elementary principal

The Chandler School Board approved the resignation of several employees, as well as the hiring of a new interim elementary school principal at its regular meeting on June 8.

In the consent agenda, the board approved the resignations of Bridget Hughey as Park Road principal, Katelyn Miller as an elementary teacher, Kristi Peery as a math teacher and Tracee Cobb as a bus driver.

Kelly Robbins was hired by the Board to be the principal at Park Road Elementary.

They also approved the renewal of employment contracts with 51 support staff. Along with that, the members of the school board approved the teacher salary schedule for FY27, which included a $2,000 pay raise.

Other items included approving the authorization to pay the FY27 allocation of alternative education funds to Stroud Schools for the alternative education cooperative, Programming as a math credit for 2030 graduation requirements pending State Board approval and Ben E. Keith as the food vendor for the 2026-27 school year to furnish food and supplies for the child nutrition.

The Board additionally approved a milk bid from Hiland Dairy Foods Company, a contract with OklahomaDrug&Alcohol Testing, LLC for testing of bus drivers, a contract renewal with OSIG for property and liability insurance and a contract with Zenith Corp. for workman’s compensation insurance.

An agreement for representation between Chandler Public Schools and its Board of Education with Rosenstein, Fist & Ringold for legal services was also approved. The firm has represented the school system for years, and this contract includes legal advice, consultation and representation as requested.
