The Agra School Board approved personnel and policies for the upcoming school year, among other items, during its regular meeting on July 13.
The Board approved the assignment of Jeana Bateson, RN and current Merdian Technology Center Health Careers instructor, as an adjunct instructor for Anatomy and Physiology. It also approved Superintedent Delbert Rossiter, Shanise Davis and Jamie Durbin as activity fund custodians. They are to serve as petty cash custodians with authority to sign petty cash checks. Rossiter is the approved signatory on Certificates of Deposit.
Other hiring decisions made by the Board include Wesley Molloy as a maintenance employee, Shawna Swindell as a pre-kindergarten teacher and Emily Ford as a special education teacher. The Board also approved extra duty assignments and stipend schedule for the 2026-27 school year.
The Board additionally approved a motion authorizing the superintendent to purchase custodial supplies, paper products, tires and other necessary supplies through State Contract vendors, BuyBoard, OSSBA, CCOSA, Oklahoma Correctional Industries, OMINAPartners/US Communities and other approved cooperative purchasing programs.
Rossiter was also approved as the authorized representative for the USDA Donated Foods Program, all federal programs (including E-Rate and Child Nutrition), a purchasing agent for Agra Public Schools, and custodian of the General Fund, Building Fund, Child Nutrition Fund, Bond Fund, Activity Fund and all other district funds for the next school year.
The Board approved revisions to the 2026-27 Agra Public Schools Student Handbook and the bell to bell policy, in accordance with Oklahoma State law.
Additionally, the Board approved Blanket Purchase Orders for the 2026-27 Fiscal Year and any necessary purchase order overages for the 2025-25 fiscal year. It also approved the continued use of Kellogg & Sovereign Consulting for E-Rate application, filing and compliance services for the next school year.
