Chandler powerlifter Kalee Peery won two national championships and set four national records over the weekend in the NASA High School Powerlifting Nationals.
She competed in the Freshman-Sophomore Division at the 132-pound weight class and won titles in the unequipped and retro divisions.
She squatted 195 pounds, benched 105 pounds and deadlifted 235 pounds for a total of 535 pounds.
She set high school retro powerlifting records for her weight class in Squat, Bench, Deadlift and for the Total.
“Lincoln County has been very well represented at this meet over the past 22 years with several individual champions from Chandler, Wellston, Meeker and Prague,” said Fred Peery, her coach and dad.
“Many of those individuals were part of High School National team championships and still have records that have not been broken. We hope to have more kids from Lincoln county compete at Nationals next year.”
