McLoud High School has announced the valedictorians and salutatorian of the Class of 2026. Addison Adams, Dawsen Branum, Jordyn Dennis, Dani Easley, Kaleb Fox, Lillian Lee, Taycee Lewis, Lydia Reece and Launa Troutt are the valedictorians, while Jonathan Yang is the salutatorian.

Believe it or not, there was a time when Peyton Davis identified primarily as a softball player.“My freshman year, I did not think I was going to be outstanding in track,” she said. “I thought softball was going to be my thing.“I started running track in middle school, but it was never that serious.

Dale wins slow pitch

Dale and Davenport went into the slow-pitch state tournament at Firelake last week with their programs at different places and they had different results, Dale won its eighth slow-pitch state championship by beating Silo, 18-17, in a thrilling home run derby of a championship game on Tuesday.
