I have the world’s greatest grandparents.Yes, I know. I’m sure a lot of people think that. And I’m sure they’re correct. Grandparents, by nature, tend to be pretty cool people. But I am so very grateful that the universe brought me Lee Roy and Linda Kalka.You see, I was born Emily Shook.

Local students win at academic contest

Schools from around the state, including Lincoln County, took part in the 52nd Annual Scholastic Meet at Seminole State College on March 26, according to a press release from the college.

Wellston Fire Department gets a glow up

The Wellston Fire Department has received new equipment and certification to help the department be more prepared to respond to wild and structure fires, along with medical emergencies.
