Suspended sentences after blind plea

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer A defendant whose case began nearly three years ago following his arrest by Highway Patrol troopers on the Turner Turnpike has entered a guilty blind plea and been handed suspended prison terms.

County creates EMS district

Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to acknowledge the Nov. 5, General Election results and officially document the passage of the Emergency Medical Service District 522 district by voters.
