Blackberry Festival...

This past Saturday (July 11), McLoud’s Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Blackberry Festival, but with a bit of a twist. In order to accommodate for COVID-19, There was only a drive-thru option, for those wishing to buy T-shirts and Blackberry Jam, with no festivities outside of the pageant. The public was prohibited from attending the pageant with the winners being: Sophia Martinez for the Jr. Princess Photogenic category, Megyn Alls for the Princess Photogenic category, Olivia Alls for the Queen Photogenic category, Faith Lyday for the Blackberry Jr. Princess category, Megyn Alls for the Blackberry Princess category and Mackynsie McKedy for the Blackberry Queen category.

Later that day there was a firework show that took place next to Mcloud High School, this marked the end of the festival until next year.
