First Physicians Capital Group hosts free GED classes in Stroud

Stroud Regional Medical Center and its management company, First Physicians Capital Group, are offering free GED classes in the Stroud community.

Weekly classes begin Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 1:30 - 6:00 p.m. (students can attend any time between these hours).

Classes will be hosted at the First Baptist Church of Stroud in the Family Center at 315 N. 3rd St. Stroud, OK 74079.

Participants can attend weekly classes on the day of without registration and by following an academic assessment. Each student will be placed in individualized classes based on what they need to learn. After 40 to 50 hours of instruction, students will be tested to see retention rates on the path to earning their GED. Students also choose the frequency of attendance, with a personalized track to the certificate.

These classes are available for adults in Stroud and surrounding communities who want to earn their GED through personalized academic plans.

These classes provide an opportunity for adults to go back to school to earn their GED at their own pace as a part of First Physicians Capital Group’s community centered health hub C2H2 model.

The large facility can accommodate classroom spaces for participants to properly social distance.
