Chandler’s 12-and-under Lions won the Perry Tournament, then swept a pair of one-run games from Stroud.
The Lions’ pitching was dominant in the tournament, as Jackson Campbell, Javarious Wade, Rhett Haley, Cale Mitchell and Bryson Taylor combined to three straight shutouts, blanking Perry 6-0, Stateline Shox 8-0 and the NCO Wildcats 6-0.
Maddox Metheny led the Lions at the plate, going 7-for-8 in the three games.
Against Stroud,Christian Goeller hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to give the Lions an 11-10 win in one game and had a two-run homer to pace them to another 11-10 in the other.
Taylor and Campbell were the winning pitchers.
