Bench warrant issued

A bench warrant has been issued for a man who failed to make his initial appearance on Nov. 3 on two felony counts.

Joseph Sean Young, 54, was arrested by Lincoln County law enforcement officers on Sep. 11 and formally charged Sep. 14 in Lincoln County District Court with second degree burglary and grand larceny. The arrest took place at his residence in Meridian, Okla.

He’s been convicted of several previous felonies in the past. He was to appear before Special Judge Emily Mueller on Nov. 3. When he failed to appear, she issued a $6,000 bench warrant for his arrest.

Young appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk on Sep. 12 and she set his bond at $3,000. The judge scheduled his initial appearance for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3.

In count 1, Young is accused on Sep. 9 of breaking and entering into a dwelling house of a couple located on South 3520 Road in Lincoln County with the intent to steal property at that residence.
