Commissioners approve CDBG application

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved an application for a Community Development Block Grant for the Jacktown Fire Department.

They also held an open discussion with residents in the county regarding Wind Turnbines and have agreed to work with them towards regarding this major issue.

The CDBG grant is for $300,000 and it requires a $50,000 match.

The grant will be used to purchase a fire truck for the Jacktown Fire Department.

Regarding the Jacktown grant application, commissioners also approved: A resolution for the CDBG application. Citizen participation plan for the application.

Disclosure document for it. And the leverage document and any additional documents for the CDBG application.

Commissioners took no action on approving a Quit Claim Deed for county property located at block 36, lot 22 in Agra.

They approved the Fair Housing Proclamation and Resolution for April 2024 as Fair Housing Month.

They also approved a vision statement, mission statement and core values of Lincoln County.

Commissioners approved an application to the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse grant.

They approved proposed requests to the Attorney General Opioid Abatement grant.

They approved submitting to the Attorney General Opioid Abatement grant application based on approved requests.

In other business, the commissioners: Approved a yearly maintenance agreement with B&C Business Partners for the Treasurer’s Office.

Declared a surplus for the Treasurer’s Office.

Adopted a resolution for disposing of equipment for the Treasurer’s Office and District 1.

Adopted a resolution to accept a donation from Genesis Enterprises, LLC for District 1.

Took no action to determine quote specs for lawn services at the courthouse.

Approved a Use Tax Resolution establishing an account for Emergency Management and Homeland Security grant.

Adopted a resolution appointing requesting, receiving and inventory officers for Chandler Nutrition Site and Emergency Management.
