County Commissioners

The Lincoln County Commissioners renewed a sublease agreement with Stroud Public Schools at their regular meeting on July 20.

The sublease was first signed on Dec. 1, 2016, and is renewed at the beginning of every fiscal year until it’s paid off.

The Commissioners approved Bid #26-08 with H&H Construction for the Lincoln County Courthouse Bank Annex and Courthouse Horseshoe Parking Lot resurfacing and resealing project. The original bid came in at $78,000; however, as they had to wait due to previous construction, H&H asked for an additional $7,470 for the rising costs of supplies such as asphalt.

They also gave approval for bids to go out for the replacement of the courthouse roof, and the Sheriff’s Office dispatch fee agreement with the E911 Trust Authority for $25,000, as well as the Sheriff’s Office application for the Community Oriented Policing Services grant. The grant is for $200,000 over two years, with no matching.

TheCommissionerstook no action on a change order for the Lincoln County Fair Barn exterior project or on quotes for the jail intercom and lock control system.

They decided to keep using the Used Tax for the Child Advocacy Center agreement, paid quarterly; FY2027 Apprentice contracts; and the Apprentice quote for the Sheriff’s Office access point; Use Tax Resolution temporarily funding CIRB; and allowing some Halloween festivities on the courthouse lawn.

The Commissioners also approved an indigent cremation, pending some stipulations. A child of the deceased has been located and if they do not wish to or cannot cover the cremation, then the County will do so.
