Davenport School Board meeting

The Davenport School Board held a regular meeting on June 8, taking care of several items.

The Board approved authorization to pay the FY27 Allocation for Statewide Alternative Education Academy Program Funds to the Local Education for the Cooperative. It also approved a bid from OSAG for workers’ compensation insurance for the next school year.

A bid from the property, inland, marine, general liability, auto fleet, professional liability, employee benefitsandcrimecoverage for the next school year was also approved. The board also signed a resolution to join OSIG.

The Board approved the wind and hail deductible buy-down with a $1 million excess liability for the next school year, a contract with ADTI for drug testing for students and employees, the alternate school calendar waiver and a contract with Crossroads Head Start.

Superintendent Danny Acord presented a report, letting the Board know how proud he is of coaches and students putting the time and effort into summer pride.
