Guilty pleas on four sex counts

A man charged with four counts of sex related acts with a minor and who has pleaded innocent and previously was scheduled for trial, has has changed his plea to a guilty blind plea.

A sentencing date ahs been scheduled.

Formal charges were filed July 26, 2023 in Lincoln County District Court against Bradley Jacobs, 20, address unknown. Jacobs is accused of four counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

A $20,000 bench warrant was initially issued and later returned and filed.

Court records show the warrant was returned and filed Sep. 11.

District Judge Sarah Bridge had previously announced by agreement of the parties the matter was set for the felony disposition docket at 9 a.m. on Apr. 29 and at 9 a.m. May 6. Jury trial had been scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 2.

On May 6, appearing before Judge Bridge, Jacobs withdrew his previous plea and entered a blind plea.

The Judge received his plea and she set sentencing for 1:30 p.m. July 22. She ordered a pre-sentencing investigation.

The judge had advised Jacobs the crime was an 85 percent crime.

He waived his preliminary hearing July 19, 2024.

He made an appearance before Special Judge Emily Mueller Sep. 21, 2023. He appeared again before her on on Dec. 21. His pre-preliminary was held on March 21.

According to the information in the charges, each of alleged crimes occurred between July 26, 2015 and July 25, 2016.
