Three students from Chandler recently attended the 2026 American Farmers and Ranchers Youth Leadership Summit that ran from July to August, according to an AFR press release.
Ridley Bendele, Logan Harkins and Addilyn Miller attended the Senior Leadership Summit, alongside more than 300 students across events. AFR held two summits -- the Teen Summit and Senior Summit.
This year’s theme was “Beyond the Summit,” and participants attended development activities that taught life skills, such as setting short- and long-term goals, as well as working in teams.
“The AFR Leadership Summit is a great way for the youth of Oklahoma to learn skills that will benefit them throughout their lives,” saidAFR Cooperative President Scott Blubaugh. “We are proud to invest in the future of Oklahoma through our state’s agricultural youth. This is just one way of demonstrating that investment in communities across our state.”
The participants also took part in a service project to package more than 20,000 meals for families in need.
