Jeffrey Curtis Brake was a dedicated truck driver for most of his life. He was born and raised in Niangua, Missouri, and later made his home in Oklahoma. Jeff passed away in Norman on June 30, 2025, following a medical incident while in custody. He was 61 years old. He was the son of Delores and Ronald Drennan (stepfather) of Niangua, Missouri, and Kelly Brake of Springfield, Missouri.
Jeff has been married to Alpha Brake since May 1985. He was the proud father of four children: Shawn (Leslie) Brake of Chandler, Kenneth (Yvonne) Brake of Norman, and daughters CheyenneBrakeandJanet Jackson, both of Chandler. HewasalsoalovingPAPA to several grandchildren and cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Jeff had five brothers who preceded him in death: Kelly Jr., Richard Brake,BrukeSteveSmith, Patrick Brake, and Billy Brake, all of Marshfield. Surviving siblings include two brothers, Tony Brake of Marshfield and Allen (Merlene) Brake of Strafford, and two sisters, Sandy Harrison of Marshfield and Rhonda (Ronnie)Reynolds of Buffalo, Missouri.
Jeff had a big heart and a giving spirit. He always made sure no one went hungry, breakfast was his love language, and he’d cook it for anyone at any hour. His love for his wife and grandchildren ran deep, and his presence will be missed beyond measure.
A viewing and small service were held shortly after his passing.
