Mary Sue Carver, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Mary was born on July 22, 1938, in Greenwood, Arkansas.
She was the daughter of Orvil and Nellie (Pigg) Bartlett. She grew up in Greenwood and was a 1956 graduate of Greenwood High School. Mary married Ray Carver in 1989 and the couple made their home in Prague. Mary enjoyed crotchet, cake decorating and loved redbirds. She was known for her hard work ethic and dedication to her work. She worked for many years for Kitchen Oil and Miller Brothers. Mary enjoyed being outdoors. She loved to fish, especially when she caught more than her husband, Ray.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Orvil and Nellie Bartlett; two sons, Ryan Carver and Randy Carver; one grandchild; three sisters, Margie, Nelda and Martha Christine and three brothers, Kenneth, Sherman and Jerry.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 35 years, Ray Carver; her son, Chuck Ingle and his wife, Pam; her daughter, Mona Swaffar and her husband, Rusty; two step-daughters, Rhonda Cruz and her husband, Louie, and Rene Hill and her husband, Clint; one brother, Charles Bartlett and his wife, Geana; one sister, Drucilla Satterfield and her husband, Charles; her mother-in-law, Bonnie Raines and her sister-in-law, Sandy Mendenhall; numerous grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service was held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague.
