Mildred Lucille (Cope) Smith was born September 8, 1931, in her grandma’s house in Green Pasture (Spencer), Oklahoma. She was the fifth child of Thomas Melvin and Lydia Alice (Deaton) Cope Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one infant brother; two sisters, husband of 63 years, one son, one granddaughter, her grandparents and other family members. Survivors include her three children, three grandsons, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Donations can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association. A funeral was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 atTrinity Baptist Church and interment followed in the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
